Save the Dates: Summer 2019

2018_Opera-Web-Asset

Even though repertoire and casting details aren’t available yet, I am happy to share next summer’s performance dates so you may consider them as you plan your opera festival and vacation travels. (Of course, I realize that without repertoire info attached, this is incomplete at best. So, no need to remind me… But some of you tell me that even the dates themselves are useful, so I offer them in that spirit!)

WTO is at The Barns in February!
There’s more good news… You don’t have to wait until summer to enjoy a Wolf Trap Opera performance. We’ll be at The Barns on February 9 & 10, 2019, in a concert staging of Frank Martin’s Le vin herbé – a new co-production with Washington Concert Opera. This intimate setting of the Tristan and Isolde story will feature ten WTO alumni, including tenor Ian Koziara and soprano Shannon Jennings. It’ll be a rare chance to experience this exotic and beautiful opera by Switzerland’s most famous composer.

A warm and happy New Year to you and yours – I look forward to being back in touch in February when the season is announced!
