Upcoming: WTO Vocal Colors Recital in NYC

Going to be in NYC in a couple of weeks? Catch some sumptuous Wolf Trap Opera singing on Friday, November 9, when two of our 2018 Filene Artists — mezzo-soprano Megan Mikailovna Samarin and tenor Ian Koziara — take the stage at the National Opera Center, collaborating with WTO pianist/coach Joseph Li.

The concert is part of Opera America’s Emerging Artist Recital Series, and it features songs from last summer’s Vocal Colors performance. The repertoire was inspired by works of art from The Phillips Collection. Featured composers include Schubert, Schumann, Grieg, Fauré, Elgar, Berg and Sibelius.

Performance time is 7pm, and the location is at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 29th Street. Go here for more information and tickets.

And for those of us who aren’t near Manhattan, the concert will be streamed live at operaamerica.org/Live and archived for later viewing on YouTube!
