Today, a bit of wisdom from one of the creators of our first opera of the summer season. We’re getting ready for Wilhelmina and her wombat friends, and rehearsals start tomorrow. (Yikes!) It is going to be a distinct pleasure to team up with our colleagues in Wolf Trap Education on this ridiculously enjoyable mini opera for preschoolers. And we are unbelievably lucky that this commission comes from the fertile minds and open hearts of composer David Hanlon and librettist Kathleen Kelly.
