Day 10: The Return of Lunch Music

Every Wednesday afternoon during the summer season, WTO singers bring live music to our colleagues at the Wolf Trap Foundation. Our beautiful atrium – the Earle C. Williams Learning Center at the Center for Education – is the site of these short lunchtime concerts.

The 2015 series was kicked off in great style with this program sung by members of the Figaro cast:

A Neopolitan love song – Tosti’s “L’alba separa dalla luce l’ombre” – sung by Studio Artist Joshua Sanders

A love song to music – Schubert’s “An die Musik” – sung by Filene Young Artist Christian Zaremba

Two highlights from Bernstein’s Candide – “I Am Easily Assimilated” and “Glitter and Be Gay” sung respectively by Filene Young Artists Jenni Bank and Amy Owens.

The music was followed by a series of artist selfies, the goofy version of which was deemed the preferred image for the blog:
